About
the Artist
Nan-C's
Angels is the name I use to identify myself on my Guardian Angel
Portraits. Each portrait is done in colored pencil on a 9 x 12 or
11 x 14 sized piece of sketch paper. About 9 hours of work go into
the creation of your Personal Guardian Angel portrait. I consider
myself a spiritual artist and use my intuition to create a story
that accompanies your portrait.
I
began drawing in 1995 after retiring from my floral designing job.
It was after I had heard about a child being kidnapped in a nearby
city. I would sit in the evening and just sketch angels. I felt
so connected to the young girl.
I
had never drawn artistically before and have had no formal art instructions.
I drew for friends and family and would give them their drawings
because I felt the urge to draw. They told me that I should take
my drawing seriously and do them for people who would place orders.
I took them to holistic fairs and began displaying them for those
who might be interested in seeing their own Guardian Angel.
One
of my first customers was a lady who ordered over 20 portraits,
which were for all members of her family. I think she was the one who
really launched my home career for me. Because, through her portraits
I was able to make a portfolio of my work.

As
of today I have probably done about 500 or more portraits for people.
Before
I begin every angel portrait I say the Lord's Prayer and ask my
guides and teachers to help me create your personal angel. Along
with the portrait, I write a brief story about what your angel is
telling you by his or her presence in your life.
In
addition, I do angels who are not meant for any specific person,
they are mainly for people who just like angels and collect them.
I am in the process of having my angels on calendars, greeting cards
and other products that will be available to the public.
I
have just begun doing angels for newborn babies. This is the angel
who is present when the baby is born. In the portrait is the mother,
or grandmother, her child and the angel (or any other important
person in the child's life).
I
have been fortunate enough to show my work in various settings including
the following:
-
Holistic Fairs
-
Plymouth Inn (Assisted Living)
-
Sterling Heights Library (Monthly Craft Displays)
-
Michigan State Fair 2000

Newspaper article in the Macomb Daily Newspaper August of 1997

The picture above was taken
during an afternoon meditation class. The room had no windows and
the lights were out. Only the candle light in the center of the
group was glowing. As you can see directly behind me is a bright
light appearing on the wall in the shape of a cross. I tried to
find out if the photographer had a special lense or something that
would cause this affect, but was unable to discuss it with him at
the time.
My
Thoughts
All
of the words below represent to me, the way in which my life’s path
has taken on new meaning. God has chosen to show me a new way of
looking at the direction in which my life is headed. He has given
me the skills and ability to make a difference in my world. I hope
I can pass on a little of that gift I am receiving from Him to you.
INSIGHT
Genuine
seeing is a process of awareness that does not depend on visual
proof for validation. The angels reach our hearts and souls through
our eyes and ears. They assure us that our love and concerns will
be heard and processed at a deeper level, the level where true change
can occur.
IMAGINATION
Our
imagination is the direct line to "True Intelligence" and greatness.
It is in the womb of imagination that great works of art are envisioned.
Einstein said "Imagination is more important than
knowledge". Through our imagination
we connect with our angels in the purest form.
BLESSINGS
A
blessing is a special favor from God.

In Love And Light Always,
